La Villa is a city located in Hidalgo County in Texas. At the 2010 census, the town’s population was 1,957. In 1897. The land was given to Vicente de Ynojosa. By the late 1800s, the town was inundated by Anglo settlers. A post office of the community was granted in the late 1920s. The city is served by its own Independent School District. As stated by the U.S Bureau, the town’s total area of 0.3 square miles which makes it a very dense population with 4,870 people in one square mile. The town is located about twenty miles northeast of McAllen.
