Lake Dallas is a town located in Denton County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the town’s population was 7,105. The town is a resort community and is situated on the shores of Lewisville Lake. The lands were first occupied in 1852. And the area was at first called French Settlement after a family named French who were the first occupiers of the area. Later on, the town gained the name Garza. The reason being is unfolded. In 1926. Or 1929. The residents renamed the community when Lake Dallas was impounded. The city’s public education system is served by its own Independent School District.
