Lancaster is a city located in Dallas County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the town’s population was 36,361. The town was originally founded in 1852. As a border post. Abram Bledsoe founded the town. Bledsoe was born in Lancaster which is located in Kentucky, and the founder named the city after his hometown. The first post office was established in the 1860s. The city was incorporated on the 5th of May in 1886. Some of the best tourist attractions in Lancaster are Reindeer Manor, Goat Island Preserve, Bear Creek Nature Park, and Murphy Hills Park. The U.S Bureau states that the city’s total area is 30.3 square miles.
