Lavon is a city located in Collin County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the town’s population was 2,219. It rose from 387 in the year 2000. The first settlement of the town was in the 1850s. Things weren’t going so great for the community until St. Louis, Arkansas and Texas Railroad in 1888. The town had gotten its name for the first postmaster’s E.C Thompson’s son. The town is located just northeast of Dallas. The city is distributed by the Community Independent School District. Some of the top sights located in Lavon are Lavonia Park, In-Sync Exotics. Mallard Park, and San Martino Winery and Vineyards.
