Leesburg is an unincorporated coterie in Camp County in Texas. Its location is west of Pittsburg which is the county seat of Camp County. The town was named after an early settler John Lee. It used to be one of the contenders for the county seat, but it came second to the present county seat in 1874. That same year the coterie gained its own post office. Even though the community is unincorporated, it has its own post office. The public educational system is distributed by the Pittsburg Independent School District, ever since the 1950s. At the 2000 census, the town’s population was 115.
