Leming is a CDP and an unincorporated community located in Atascosa County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 964. Even though Leming is unincorporated, it has a post office. The community was named after P.B. Leming when the Gulf, San Antonio, and Uvalde railroad appeared in 1902. One of the biggest years for the town was 1913. A school and a Baptist church were established. The community’s population was around 150 next year, it has fallen to around 100 in the 1930s. As of then, the community’s population was growing and gained its number of almost one thousand.
