Lillian is an unincorporated coterie located in Johnson County in Texas. The town’s population shifts around one hundred consistently since the 1970s. The community is located beside Farm to Market Road 2738, around fifteen miles northeast of Johnson County’s seat, Cleburne. Lillian’s public education system was consolidated to Alvarado Independent School District on July 1, 1986. G.J Renfro bought the land from J.W. Cunningham so that he could establish a town near the International-Great Northern Railroad. Lillian was the name of both men’s wives and is the reason behind the town’s name. The elevation of the town is around 720 feet.
