Lipan is a city located in Hood County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the town’s population was 430. The city was established in 1873. By a settler named T.A. Burns. The town was granted a post office in 1875. The town’s population as of the 1900s was just under three hundred. The town’s population peaked in the 1980s when it was an estimate of 500. The city itself is distributed by its own Independent School District. The U.S Bureau states that the city’s total area is 1.1 square miles, all of it being land. The climate of the area is distinguished by high temperatures spread out throughout the whole year.
