Liverpool is a city located in Brazoria County in Texas. The town was named after Liverpool in England. The city is located beside Union Pacific Railroad and County Road 171. The town is located just twelve miles northeast of Angleton which is the county seat. As of the 2010 census, the town’s population was 482. The U.S Bureau states that the town has a total area of 1.1 square miles, all of it being land. The trading post of the town was in operation in 1827, but the official foundation of the town dates back to 1837. A local suggested the name of the town and in 1846. It was given after the post office was established.
