Lodi is an unincorporated coterie located in Marion County in Texas. The name comes from an Italian city that goes by the same name. Even though the community is unincorporated, it has a post office. The town’s elevation is 253 feet. The community’s post office was opened in 1876. The population of the coterie was around 75 in the 1880s. Lodi’s peak population was around 175 in the 1920s. The town’s estimated population was 164 in the 1970s. That number has been used for the population of the town ever since. The town’s location is just nine miles northeast of Jefferson which is the county seat.
