Lohn is an unincorporated community located in McCulloch County in Texas. Handbook of Texas states that the town’s population was 149 in the year 2000. The community’s settlement began in the late 1870s. The town was first settled by William F. Lohn and his family, which is why the community is named this way. Some German families arrived in 1881. Morgan Stacy was the one that built the store and became a postmaster in the post office right when it was opened in 1891. The community is distributed by its own Independent School District. U.S Highway 183 is just two miles away from the community.
