Lott is a city located in Falls County in Texas. The town’s population was 759 as of the 2010 census. The townsite was purchased in 1889 by the Texas Townsite Company. When the San Antonio and Aransas Pass Railway was being built in 1890, Lott was founded. The president of the railroad was named Uriah Lott which is why the city was named this way. The post office of the town was opened in 1890, S.J. Crump was the postmaster. The town’s total area is exactly one square mile as the U.S Bureau states. The city’s educational system is provided by the Rosebud-Lott Independent School District.
