Lozano is a CDP situated in Cameron County in Texas. At the 2010 census, the community’s population was 404. It increased from 324 since the 2000 census. The area produced citruses and vegetables before it became a real community. Early settlers were very happy when the town received a connection in the late 1920s, the town was connected to Edinburgh and Brownsville. Before the 1940s the town had a population of around forty, and the community was granted a post office only after World War II. The community’s total area is only 0.12 square miles and all of it is land. This makes the community very dense with 3,414 residents per square mile.
