Being the largest town in Crosby County, Ralls was founded by John Robinson Ralls. The town is located in west-central of the county. Its location on the Santa Fe railroad caused the town to thrive. The area experienced the worst hail and wind storm in Crosby County history on June 19, 1935. The town prospered again in the 1940s when agriculture thrived. Ralls became a retail and shopping center that is surrounded by a productive farming region. In the old John R. Ralls Bank, there is a museum located in it that contains mementos of the town’s history. Today the population is estimated to be 2,252.
