The census-designated place (CDP) of Realitos is found in Duval County in the US state of Texas. In 1886, the first post office was established in this area with Charles Saw as the postmaster. The place developed gradually and attracted many settlers. By 1890, the area had two general stores and a church. Realitos was the ranch headquarters of Edward C. Lasater, a prominent rancher who was a sworn enemy of Archer Parr, Duval's political boss. By 1975, the school in this place had been consolidated. Realitos is said to have been named after small camps that were used by Mexican officers.
