Iron Goat Distillery

Distillery in Fredericksburg - 72.71 mi

Iron Goat Distillery started "distributing in the Summer of 2018". If you want to visit this distillery, you may need to contact them by calling or sending an email. Their hours are by appointment only. They produced some of "the best you'll ever have". These include Agave Spirit (Silver), Amber Rum, Honey Spirit, Silver Rum, Texas Heat Cinnamon Rum, and more coming soon. You can also find their products at several liquor stores, bars, restaurants, and even golf course. All of their products are distilled one time to preserve maximum flavor in a 50 gallon pot still. Each item is fermented, distilled, bottled and labeled in Fredericksburg, Texas.

Garrison Brothers Distillery is Texas' first and oldest bourbon distillery. This is a "nice little gem in the hill country!" Join their tours. You will learn from it because it is "educational and covers all the aspects of making bourbon". The "tour ends with a sampling of Garrison's finest bourbon". They also "recognize Military (Wall of American Badass) and 1st responders by having patches of people who have visited". Ben Milam Whiskey Distillery

Ben Milam Whiskey Distillery should include "women power" as an ingredient in their bottles. After years in the entertainment industry, founder Marsha Milam established Provision Spirits. She then named the distillery and its products after Ben Milam, a distant relative and a hero of the Texas Revolution. In 2017, without her knowledge, her head distiller submitted their single barrel bourbon in the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits. It went on to win a coveted Double Gold. The distillery repeated its win with a gold in the 2018 edition. In 2018, Marlene Holmes joined Marsha at Ben Milam as Head Distiller. Formerly from Jim Beam, she brings 27 years industry experience to the young distillery. Finally, in a casting coup of sorts, Marsha announced in early 2019 that world-renowned whiskey expert and author Heather Greene would join as CEO and Partner. Together, the three are launching the Milam & Greene Whiskies line.

Andalusia Whiskey Co. is a single malt whiskey distillery only sells their Andalusia White, Revenant Oak, Stryker, Andalusia Triple-Distilled whiskeys at their tasting room or at Texas retailers. The distillery was established by Tommy Erwin and Ty Phelps. Both met at the Real Ale Brewing Company where they were former employees, quickly became friends, and decided to open their own whiskey distillery. With the help of family and friends, they opened the grain-to-glass distillery in 2016. Andalusia Whiskey Co. distillery is proudly a zero-waste facility. They feed the spent grain to Ty’s livestock at the working ranch as part of their commitment to the environment. They also built a 56,000 gallon rainwater collection tank on the property. Tours at the distillery happen every day at 2pm. For groups smaller than 10, they don't require reservations.

Devils River Whiskey

Artisan on Alamo Distillery

Artisan on Alamo Distillery got its start in 2012 with Spike Vodka, the only vodka made from prickly pear cactus. The distillery then followed up its initial offering with the introduction of Texas Pride Vodka, “an award-winning corn-based vodka”, and Chupacabra Juice Moonshine, “an ultra-smooth corn mash moonshine. Soon, in 206, founder and master distiller Nicholas Spink opened Artisan on Alamo Distillery featuring both the craft vodka distillery and a vodka lounge. In answer to popular clamor, he further expanded in 2018 to offer Bexar Ridge Bourbon Whisky and Pecan Ridge Whiskey. Besides its premium line of spirits, the Artisan on Alamo also features a relaxing outside patio for guests. Distillery tours are at 4pm and 7pm from Thursdays to Saturdays. Happy hour drink menus are available until 8pm. Guests can have food delivered to them at the lounge, or hire their own caterers for special events.
