Sabinal is a city in Uvalde County, Texas, United States. It has a population of 1695. As is the case with most cities in this area it has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps. It has a median family income of a bit more than 31.000 $. The city was founded in 1854 by Thomas B. Hammer who opened a store there. A Cavalry outpost was established in 1856 on the west bank of the river for the protection of the settlers., however, it wasn’t very effective since the founder was soon killed in a raid.
