Salt Flat is a ghost town in northeastern Hudspeth County, Texas, United States. It’s not incorporated, but it has a zip code. Guadalupe Mountains National Park is located nearby and it used the zip code for its mail since it doesn’t have a post office of its own. There’s a dry salt pan just near the city. It was the reason for and the location of The San Elizario Salt War. The town was last occupied in the 1920s with a few vegetable farmers living there.
