Saragosa is an unincorporated community in Reeves County, Texas, United States. According to the Handbook of Texas, it has had a population of 185 in 2000. Even though it’s unincorporated meaning that it doesn’t have a local government, Saragosa has a zip code. The community was established in 1880 on a ranch headquarters. It grew once the Pecos Valley Southern Railway opened and the community become a center of trade for local alfalfa, cotton, and fruits. It was hit by a tornado in 1987, with multiple casualties and great damage to the property.
