Sebastian is a census-designated place (CDP) in Willacy County, Texas, United States. It has a population of 1917, according to the last census. More than half of the residents are married couple and the median income for a Sebastian family is about $24.000. The community was settled in 1906 and it changed its name to Sebastian in 1912. In 1914, the Sebastian Realty Company was promoting the town in the hope that it would become a major agricultural center. During the early 20th century Texas was experiencing a period of lawlessness and Sebastian was subjected to many raids at a time.
