Taylor is a city in Williamson County, Texas, United States. It has a population of about 15.000 according to the last census. The city was established in 1876 by mostly Czech and Slovakian immigrants. By the 1890 it had the first savings and loan institution in the US. Taylor's largest employers include the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Durcon Inc. Burrows Cabinets and the T. Don Hutto Residential Center. Community has lately improved its infrastructure and worked on many public projects in order to accommodate the needs of these businesses and the general public.
