Weston is a city in Collin County, in the U.S. state of Texas. It is located at the junction of FM 543 and FM 455, in the north-central part of the county. Weston was one of the oldest towns in the county; it was first settled in the early 1840s. It was named after Weston, Missouri, the hometown of an early settler who arrived in the area in 1850 and built its first store. The town became a stage stop during the 1850s and 1860s. It was then incorporated in 1887, and businesses were soon established in the area. Cotton gin and gristmill were among its early economic activities. Weston became one of the first towns in the state to have rural free mail delivery in 1900. The town reached its zenith in the year 2000 with 635 residents. As of 2010, it has a population of 563.
