Wills Point is a city situated in Van Zandt County in Texas. The town of Willis Point was established in 1873. The town itself was named after an early settler in the area named William Wills. George W. Bush nicknamed Wills Point the Bluebird Capital of Texas in 1995. As stated by the U.S Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.6 square miles and all of it is land. The public education system of the town is being distributed by the Willis Point Independent School District. The town of Willis Point is placed along U.S Highway 80 and State Highway 64. The town’s population was 3,524 as of the 2010 census.
