Woodville is a city situated in Tyler County in Texas. The town is set on the intersection of three different U.S highways: U.S Highway 69, 190, and 287. The town reached its peak population in the 1980s with around 2,821 residents but since then it has diminished and reached a population of 2,586 at the 2010 census, today there are an estimated 2,489 residents in the city. The city has a total area of 3.2 square miles and all of it is land. The Woodville Independent School District distributes the city’s public education system. Woodville is the county seat of Tyler County.
