They are located in north Lubbock, Texas on a 160-acre farm between Alcove & 4th Street. They are the first farm to adopt the method of a regenerative farming technique called mob grazing. “Cows, God’s natural mowers, go first and eat the grass. Following behind are the chickens, God’s natural tillers that forage on the ground and till the land as they scratch. You follow behind the chickens with water and sunlight, and this process creates the richest soil over time. Then, you do it all over again until you have restored the land from dry and dusty, to fertile.”

Come and buy some Star of David okra from Bent Spoke Farms at the farmers market in Wolfforth. Perfect size for grilling or roasting. Their "star of David okra is great fried!" You won't even "remember the last time" you "fried anything since non-GMO organic high heat oils are so expensive" but you "just had to try it". They also have "Green Beans, Tomatoes, Squash, Butternut Squash, Spaghetti Squash and...... Cantelope!" offered at the local market. "ALL of our produce is organically grown..no chemicals" according to the owner. Sometimes they are also in the Lubbock Downtown market. They also "always have CAGE FREE EGGS laid fresh every day" with "bulk discounts when available".

"Block 20 Produce is an awesome incredibly hard-working father-daughter team". They are "great people with great produce" and "they have the freshest vegetables around". You will be "raving about" their "sweet corn and tomatoes" and even the "eggplant on the menu". It will be the "best corn" you will have "in years...and tomatoes that actually taste like tomatoes". They also have "cinnamon creamed honey from their booth at the farmers market" which tastes "so very delicious". You will "be back for sure". They also have honey with a tint of lavender taste to it because the bees were all over the lavender this summer for several weeks. This honey came from the hives on their property. If you want some, it is first-come, first-serve basis. Texts are strongly preferred.

E3 Farms started as a small farm in Lubbock. Today, it is one of the biggest producers of local food in the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market and Wolfforth Farmers Market. They are usually selling in the Lubbock Market from June to October. On the other hand, they sell produce at Wolfford all year round! Currently, the farm offers chemical-free roots, shoots, and greens. Their customers dub them as the source of the best salad fix-ins in town. Some of the favorites are their baby spinach and roasted garlic-infused olive oil. They also offer carrots, tomatoes, peppers, and beets. Check them out today! Green Acres Microgreens is located in Wolfforth, Texas. They sell microgreens grown with a coconut fiber pad, seed, water, and light. They also sell living plants. If you are interested in buying microgreens, you can visit the farmers markets which Green Acres Microgreens frequent. Green Acres Microgreens sells what many considers "the best microgreens on the south plains." Green Acres Microgreens also sells carrots, leeks, radish, kale, cilantro, salad mix, broccoli, and kohlrabi. They are no longer at the Wolfforth Farmers Market. They will be announcing a new location this February!

High Plains Gardens

High Plains Gardens focuses on growing plants that are native to Texas. These plants include every species that can survive in the hot and dry weather of West Texas. They started in 2008. In the beginning, their efforts included water catchment. This method ensures that their plants can grow with the water supply they need. Today, the farm also grows herbs, tomatoes, peppers, and succulents. Also, they sell hanging baskets and succulent plant pots. If you plan to visit the farm, be sure to call ahead. Lisemby Farms is a veteran-owned family farm that provides some of the best pastured pork in the county, and possibly the world! They primarily raise two breeds of pig, Mangalitsa and Swabian Hall. These breeds were created in the early 1800s for European royalty, so if there was such a thing as pork that's fit for a king then this is it! They also have other heritage pork like Berkshires, Durocs, Spotted Poland Chinas and Hampshire. All pigs have access to sunshine and fresh water and are completely raised outdoors.

The owners grow several types of squash and zucchini, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, peppers, green beans, black-eyed peas, cucumbers, cantaloupe, and watermelons. They also grow microgreens and also have farm-fresh and cage-free eggs. Also, for weed control, they use plasticulture, hands, hoe when the plants get too high for the tractor and sweeps. Neem oil and Spinosad are also the pesticide of choice and are both organic certified. They are sometimes selling at the Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market. "Really beautiful produce" is all you can say.

R & R Farms was established by a retired Air Force Veteran, Ray, and his wife, Rhonda, to harvest and sell locally grown produce in the West Texas panhandle.  They started out by growing produce for themselves as they didn't like the stuff they saw at the market and groceries and has then expanded by them catering to their area.  Its mission is "to be a year-round local source for high-quality, healthy produce for the Lubbock community." R & R Farms offers eggs, fruits and vegetables, as well as preserves and jams.  These are all fresh and all-natural, grown using organic practices and sustainable agriculture, with no chemicals added to the soil or the plants.  The poultry are also raised free-range and are organically fed.

And, "it's not uncommon for Wolf to pick something fresh out of the field and bring it" to their customers. They can be your "go-to for quality produce". You will "also like that they support other local growers by providing eggs, dairy, cheese, and meats from fellow producers".   Note: The pandemic, weather, and other struggles has taken a toll on the farm, they're a bit down at the moment when it comes to production, but they're definitely not out!
