Blue Lotus Winery has two locations. The first is "just 6 miles north of Seguin" and the other is located in Hye with a "nice hill country view". You can find numerous entertainment including board games, puzzles, life-sized chess set, and a giant Jenga set. The owners are "very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines, mead, and beer". They have "a great lineup" of "some funky wines" including Black Lotus, Golden Lotus, Tempranillo, and Viognier wines. "They have some of the best tasting Meads" too including "Blueberry, Minstrel (old style), Jalapeño, and Blood". Be sure to check the "different activities" on their website.

Dry Comal Creek Vineyards

The Dry Comal Creek Vineyards is "super close to Canyon Lake and New Braunfels" and "this gem has lots of outdoor space and some delicious wine offering". They have "furniture of wine barrels" that is "really nice". For the tasting, you will need to call them for reservations. All of their wine is 100% Texan, Cote du Comal, Roussanne (the best in the state), Sangiovese, Tempranillo to name a few.

"Fawncrest Vineyard is a boutique winery off the beaten path between Austin and San Antonio". "If you like a dry Merlot", visit Fawncrest. You can also try the gold medal winner, Cabernet Franc 2010. Their well-hidden sanctuary is nestled in the skirts of the Hill Country overlooking Canyon Lake, housing a variety of Bordeaux style wines. They are open on Saturdays for wine tasting. "Helotes Creek Winery makes their own wine in flavors you will not find at commercial store". A "very cool place located close to San Antonio". "Situated amongst the old buildings in Old Town Helotes" and "tucked amongst the live oaks". "The majority of the wines" they make "are sweet, and a few dry wines". The sources of grapes are "California to Texas and Italy for some of their specialty wines". "Aside from all the wines on the menu that they have all year round they also make seasonal wines, ports, and frozen wine". They also "do offer discounts for teachers and military".

"Located just east of Bandera, Hill Country Cellars Winery is family-run winery that has a fun, relaxed wine bar atmosphere to allow you to sit and sip for a while in a cool welcoming space". They have a selection of "very good wines with a great story of how they started". Even if you have "have never been a wine fan", once you "tried their Black Spanish Lenoir", you "will go back". You will "love this wine! It's bold, very flavorful and tickles the sides of your tongue perfectly!" "Rose of Shiraz and Gillys Symphony" are other "outstanding" wines too. Aside from "cheese tray" and "tapas to pair with your favorite selection", they also "have a fun area in the back to play washers and horseshoes and live music sometimes".

Kai-Simone Winery is a new addition to the Texas Hill Country wineries. This is located in Spring Branch, Texas along the Guadalupe River, very close to San Antonio. "Winery is easily accessible from Hwy 281 or Hwy 46!" You will have an "entire experience" that is "awesome" with "exceptionally divine" food and "the atmosphere is great". Their tasting room is opening in September 2019. Check their website and celebrate your next event. They are "taking event bookings now!" Send a message to them if you want to be the first to join the wine club. Space is limited. Their opening hours are Thursday to Saturday, 12-4 PM.

La Cruz de Comal Wines

You will "loved the location" and the "natural wines" when you "visit a unique winery in the hill country of Texas" that is the La Cruz de Comal Wines . The "prices seemed to be pricey but once you do the wine tasting, you'll know why". All their wines which are made as "a hobby" are "natural". There are "no additives" and perfect for "anyone who wants to taste" a "real wine". In 2012, the tasting room opened on the estate vineyard in Comal County, Texas. "The tasting room looks like a little cottage nestled in the French countryside". The owner "doesn't filter so the wines are a bit hazy and have some sediment/yeast on the bottom", the wines "ferment from wild yeast/bacteria on the grapes and whatever bacteria is in the HillCo air" and "this gives the wines an obvious farmhouse character (mild funk/horsey, slightly sour)". If you want to have an "excellent experience", this place is "definitely worth the drive out to Canyon Lake".

Lara Vineyard is the only vineyard in Bexar County. This is a "great small place to have some wine with your significant other or your friends". It is "a beautiful location for private events with wonderful wine and delicious brick oven pizza". "The views are awesome and there is always a nice breeze". Try the "Cabernet Sauvignon" which is "very light" and has "an excellent taste". You may even have "a chance to try their wine made from a hibiscus flower (no grapes)" which is "really good". They will make you "feel right at home" and they are "very educational" in giving "background on their wines".

Lost Maples Winery is the first commercial winery and commercial vineyard in Bandera County. This is "an awesome destination" and the "drive to the winery off Hwy 337 is just beautiful". The place has "beautiful grounds, beautiful building", and "great seating area outside". You can also "listen to the band" on their "small live music venue" that you can see "on the patio" which they have "every Saturday". For the tasting experience, "every wine" is "incredible" and "every wine" is "so full of flavor". An "excellent gem of a winery" for a tasting experience. "They have something for everyone" including "reds, whites" and even "topped by an outstanding Port".

Established in 1986, Newsom Vineyards has always sought to produce the highest quality grapes in Texas. They are "located in a refurbished 1910 historic home" which is "on the main drag driving through tiny Comfort, Texas". The owners "are friendly and there is a nice courtyard with tables to enjoy a glass of wine". Their tasting room is "roomy", very "warm and inviting, rich in rustic wood". "If you want to avoid the crowds at the more popular wineries in the Fredericksburg area", then you should go to this "great place". There are "plenty to choose from" their wines and "quality is exceptional".

Poteet Country Winery is "small yet well thought out business" is a "perfect spot to bring the kids to pick some strawberries when they are in season". You will have "a nice South Texas country feeling down here" especially "if you enjoy a nice sweet wine". The "quiet country drive" for "this trip is perfect" when you are "on the way to the Poteet Strawberry Festival". If you want to taste "fantastic" wines "made from fruits other than grapes", you will leave buying their "Strawberry, Mustang, Blackberry, and Peach" wines after "sampling a couple of their wines". It is also "sulfate-free" so "no headache" afterward. "You won't find any fructose in these wines either". Their "tasting room is interesting, rustic and has staff that makes you feel warm". This is a winery that really "demonstrates that you can make some fine fruit wines in the state".

Saint Tryphon Vineyards is located "about 30 minutes north of San Antonio". There is a "quaint tin barn serving as the tasting room". Aside from having "creative styles and innovative approaches to winemaking" for a more "novel tasting experience", they also have "some really interesting Spanish and Italian styles". Their "outside patio is spacious and gives visitors a great place to relax". You should "try the wine tasting and choose for yourself what wines make you smile". You will find "wines here are smooth and with vivid flavors that linger like sweet memories". Their name is also based on Saint Tryphon (pronounced tree-fon), a third-century Christian martyr.

They have barrel aging and minimal filtration methods to make the wines retain their full flavor. Their "wines are very tasty and the self-guided tour is awesome". You can "wear something warm when going on the tour as it is very cold inside". With "well trained and passionate people to teach you about wine in a rustic historical setting", they offer an "amazing assortment of delicious wines", "from dry to sweet and there is something for everyone". Visit and enjoy their wines. They are "not far from Boerne and close to Luckenbach".

You "may wonder how a winery can be in a nondescript strip mall" but "do not let the location stop you from visiting". The Stray Grape Urban Winery "is a cute little place on the northeast side of town". This "place is really nice and relaxing" with "live music". They only produce 30 bottles at a time and each wine contains low-sulfides for freshness aside from decreased headaches. Aside from being a "great place to try new wines", you will also be "impressed with the service" when you visit. The staff is also "very helpful if you are not sure what your tastes in wine are". You can even "bottle your own wine and create labels if you have an event or something".

Threshold Vineyards is a vineyard and winery near Navasota, Texas. They sell wine, offer wine tasting, and they have a great location for picnics. It does not have to be a special occasion you have been planning to celebrate for months. It could be a simple weekend break from a stressful workweek. Threshold Vineyards has everything you need for a soothing respite with nothing but rest and relaxation. They have delicious wine (white and red, take your pick!), a great view in their picnic grounds, and a friendly staff eager to help make your visit a memorable one!

Timber Ridge Winery

Timber Ridge Winery is the only winery in Bandera County and they are located on the eastern edge near Pipe Creek. You will notice that the labels on their wines are a reflection of the local features in their area. A tree pictured on the Merlot label. This tree is also in the parking lot. Their Orange Muscat has a picture of the rock structure that visitors can see upon entering their place. There are "not many options out" there "but this one has a great wine". You will "loved the Orange Muscat" of this "small winery with big dreams!" Their Merlot is "nice" which is a "dryer variety". They have no website but they have a Facebook page. It is better to call them first before visiting and make sure it is the Texas location and not the one located in Pennsylvania.

This is another branch of Water 2 Wine and it is a "quaint little place in downtown New Braunfels" with "a great vibe, cool outdoor patio". The "atmosphere is charming and inviting" and "the wines are excellent". There is "no food available, other than the standard chips and crackers; but you can bring in food with you". You will still have "a great time" because there are "great little platters to go with their selections of wine" which are all "delicious". You can "make your own wine labels for special occasions". Visit and have an "excellent experience" because "this is definitely a “go-to” place in Downtown NB".

Whisper Path Cellars is located in San Antonio. They have won their "first medal" on their "very first vintage" in LSIWC. The Lone Star International Wine Competition (LSIWC) is the oldest wine competition in Texas. Their Tempranillo and Monastrell are the wines that have won bronze medals. You can find these wines and their other wines at selected wine shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants in the San Antonio and Hill Country regions. You can also buy their wines at their online shop. There are "lots of room to sit inside or out" and "there is even space upstairs to sit or rent out for private parties". They are "very friendly" and it has a "comfortable environment". They have a "great selection of award-winning wines". The "tasting serving are healthy pour and provide the opportunity to enjoy a little more of each wine". You can also make your special occasion even better by making your own wine and designing your own original label.
