    The Alamo Beer Company is proud to carry the name of its namesake. Proudly delivering the only locally made beer that carries the name, the craft brewery is located a half mile from the actual site in East Downtown San Antonio. It uses “age-old methods” to brew seven signature beers including the ALAMO Golden Ale, ALAMO Pilsner, ALAMO German Style Pale Ale, ALAMO Amber Lager and ALAMO India Pale Ale, and currently four seasonal selections. The brewery’s beer production began in December 2014. Its Beer Garden and Beer Hall opened the following year in March. They have free tours on Thursdays at 6:00pm and Saturdays at 1:00pm. (No reservations required.) In 2019, fans of the brewing company can enjoy its bold new look for  the brewery's family of beers. Each can tells a story of San Antonio, The Alamo, or the brewery’s “fiercely independent” Texas spirit.

    The Alamo Distilling Co. based in the heart of downtown San Antonio is on a roll. Co-founders Daniel Taylor and Nick Burns once dreamed of escaping their dreary jobs on New Year’s Eve 2014. Eventually quitting their jobs and taking a leap of faith, they set up shop in a 1,100 square foot facility near the San Antonio International Airport before their first year of business ended. In 2017, they moved into a 7,000 square foot building. Before 2019 ends, they are mobilizing to move into a 38,000 square foot facility. After having suffered through a brand identity crisis, the formerly-named Texas Craft Whiskey distillery now creates Alamo’s Black Label Bourbon, Catimore Coffee Liqueur, and Alamo Vodka as their flagship products, plus a variety of small-batch experimental spirits. They also shifted their energies away from the moonshine and rum markets. As a grain-to-glass distillery, they continue to remain committed to using the best ingredients possible and crafting memorable spirits.

    Tim Castaneda and Jeff Weihe, the two “mad scientists” behind Black Laboratory Brewing, first met at work. With their backgrounds in microbiology and biochemistry, respectively, Tim and Jeff have been applying their scientific backgrounds in the science and art of homebrewed craft beers since 2015. The division of labor is scientific, too. Jeff works on stuff like water pH, while Tim keeps an eye on yeast cultivation. Mox the mascot joins the two scientists in the endeavor and takes center stage as the brewery’s logo image. Tim and Jeff jumped from scientists/home-brewer to brewer/businessmen with help from “Break Fast & Launch”, a San Antonio startup incubator. With a solid business plan in hand, they’re set to open their taproom at East Houston’s new Hackberry Market in late 2019. Meanwhile, they have been busy with paperwork, construction, and keeping their fans abuzz with appearances at events.

    Like many family businesses, Deep River Specialty Foods was born from “family traditions”. Most of their recipes have been handed down from father to son, mother to daughter, generation to generation.     JD's Chili Parlor is new on the scene in San Antonio that provides “crafted chili” for special events and catering. They also have specialty “Mac and Cheeses” and Crawfish and Lobster are the most favorites! You can enjoy their extraordinary "chili 'cue" and other yummy eats at markets such as the Four Seasons Market on Saturdays. Although they've been serving up gourmet artisan chili, barbecue and mac-n-cheese at Texas markets for years, they recently moved to the Local Sprout Food Hub in San Antonio. This family-owned business crafts their barbecue and chili with love, and many of their recipes are based on historic recipes. They make amazing classic and chili fusions and great true Texas fare. They also have a line of gourmet chili products, including our heritage Chili Paste, Chili Fixin's and Enchilada Sauces.

They make “tasty Southern delicacy” that is sure to keep you coming back for more. They have several flavors of “boiled peanuts and peanut dippin spreads”. They also sell packaged goods and capable of selling ready to eat with our boiled peanut cart. Boiled peanuts are not only delicious, they're also great for your health! The process of boiling peanuts draws antioxidants from the shells. Boiled peanuts have four times the antioxidants of raw or roasted peanuts. They're also high in protein and a perfect vegetarian snack.
