Roughhouse Brewing is a family-run brewery that creates oak-fermented, American farmhouse beer on their ranch in San Marcos, Texas. Their American farmhouse beer complements the Texas backdrop which is dry, crisp and refreshing. They started Roughhouse Brewing in January 2019 with a drive to do meaningful work that brought the owners closer to their land and the community. The brewery and taproom are housed in a wooden barn with a welcoming, homey aesthetic, offering a range of beer as well as guest wine and cider. Their yeast-centric ales undergo 100-percent fermentation in American White Oak feeders using their house, mixed culture, which includes yeast harvested from the Pasternak Ranch.
