The Two Happy Children Farm opened in 2003. While they started with raising cattle, the 30-acre farm produces over sixty different kinds of vegetables. Since the nutrient content of produce depletes the longer they stay on shelves, the farm advocates food consumption right after harvest. For this reason, the farm markets their freshly harvested vegetables as soon as they pick it from its peak ripeness. You will "get food from Tiemann's Tasty Produce at the farmers market on Saturdays all the time" and the "best fresh veggies". Owned by an "awesome family", the owners are a "hardworking family". SHAMBA is an acronym for Sustainable Homestead and Microclimate Based Agriculture. The word “shamba” also happens to mean homestead in Swahili, and perfectly describes the scope of the farm: small and managed mostly by hand. New Leaf Agriculture is a nonprofit social enterprise of MRC. They support refugee families through a community garden plot in Austin, Texas. Also, in early 2018, launched a commercial farm in nearby Elgin, Texas.  Watermelon radishes, turnips, spinach, kale, chard, cilantro, lettuce, cabbage, pink radishes, leeks, bok choy - these are just some of their seasonal produce. Help this organization "create 5,332 hours of fair-wage employment". With support from you, they "will continue connecting refugees to sustainable farming opportunities" while creating livelihood for refugees. You can also sign up for their CSA or Community Supported Agriculture program to enjoy eight weeks of vegetables from their farm.

Conveniently seated in the outskirts of Old Town, Leander Texas, Isle Acres Farm is a 2-acre urban farm ready to meet your organic food needs. Becky, along with her husband Farmer Pete, manages and owns the farm. They do everything on the farm by hand. This means that they do not till the land and do not ever use a tractor. They offer CSA programs for people to get a share of their harvest. On a side note, the farm also donates a portion of their produce to the Hill Country Community Ministries. Green Gate Farms, which is located in Austin, Texas, is a certified organic, regenerative community farm cultivating vegetables, flowers, and herbs. Steelbow Farm started in 2017. This is just their fourth year farming in Texas, and yet, the vegetables they produce are always sold out. This is definitely a testament to the quality of the products as a genuine, farm-fresh food. Their veggie box contains restaurant-quality produce, and if you didn't sign up to reserve for one, do not expect that there is anything left once these boxes are sent out and collected by locals who will definitely cook these as soon as they are home.

Urban Roots aims to provide the people of Austin with "another source of real food grown locally" 40 percent of their produce is donated to hunger relief organizations across the Greater Austin Area. They also have a farm internship program, where they teach the young people of Austin "about good food, and empower them to find their voice." The interns get hands-on training bb by preparing the fields, planting, weeding, and harvesting, along with leading farm tours and connecting with the community.

Villa Klehr Farms is a family-operated farm in Elgin, Texas that offers vegetables and meats. Practicing sustainable farming, this farm has the freshest produce like arugula, beets, carrots, green onions, spinach, sweet potato, radish, and Swiss chard.
