Together with his wife Theresa, they came up with a brilliant idea – selling their farm's food on-site. In 2000, they realized this vision by constructing an on-site grocery store. Neal’s Berry Farm in Waller, TX is a working farm. It features a “U-Pick” (pick your own fruits and vegetables) activity for the whole family. The farm opened in 2009 in Spring, TX. However, they moved to its present location starting in 2018. The kids will love walking up and down the farm’s rows of thorn-less berries and figs - the farm's main crops - to fill their own baskets. They also have some vegetables and zinnias available for U-Pick. The farm has secondary crops of peaches, nectarines, and other orchard fruits and vegetables but these are pre-picked and only available for sale at their farm stand located within the property. A small local farm that sells “fresh produce, eggs, and honey” weekly at the Farmer's Markets. The owners of Peas Farm have been gardening for years. Their children and grandchildren love to pick and eat right out of the yard, they even get them to put some in the baskets for sale. They use “sustainable practices,” no chemicals and grow a wide variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, berries, eggs and honey. They use organic farming methods in producing their foods. This year, they added citruses and fruits like strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. They also have pastured chickens at the farm that produces great tasting eggs, and bees that provide sweet honey as well as pollination for the farm. The Laughing Frog Farm is a small farm in Waller County, Texas. It is a 21-acres farm that is sitting in a partially wooded land. Since then, the farm is using permaculture methods and organic principles in raising their trees, vegetables, and gulf. They are mostly raising heritage breeds like Coast, Native Sheep, and Freedom Ranger chickens.
