Atkinson Farms

Farm & Ranch in Spring - 120.96 mi

In the 1990s, Mike Atkinson, the 4th generation owner of Atkinson Farms, faced challenges competing with foreign-sourced produce. Together with his wife Theresa, they came up with a brilliant idea – selling their farm's food on-site. In 2000, they realized this vision by constructing an on-site grocery store. Visitors to the farm can enjoy not only retail produce but also "pick-your-own" activities during strawberry season, a hit with kids. Atkinson Farms also participates in various local farmers' markets, offering seasonal produce. Savor the freshness and taste the difference, just like one delighted customer who raves about our fresh produce, jams, and jellies. Join us in celebrating local goodness!

Bucking Goat Farm

Farm & Ranch in Frisco - 128.74 mi

It is not every day that you come across a business that has an interesting portfolio such as the Bucking Goat Farm. Do you want fresh vegetables and microgreens? They got it. Pickled foods? They are always in stock. How about goat milk soap? That's quite the pivot but hey, they have this too! And just in case you need cut flowers, Bucking Goat Farm sells these too. No wonder their stall in the farmer's market is very attractive and colorful with this wide array of products for sale.

Lund Produce Company

Farm & Ranch in Elgin - 157.03 mi

Kevin Lundgren, a fifth-generation farmer, is the proud owner of Lund Produce Company. Since 1991, he has been revitalizing 11 acres of land, transforming it into the thriving Brachgrove Farm, located just 35 miles from downtown Austin. Notably, Kevin's expertise caught the attention of a neighboring family with a history of shallot cultivation dating back to the 1800s. Entrusting him with their surviving shallot plants, Kevin's skillful nurturing led to a substantial harvest in 2008, allowing him to supply local Whole Foods stores and directly serve families by 2009. Brachgrove Farm doesn't stop at shallots; it boasts an array of crops, from Oxblood lilies and onions to corn and broccoli. Kevin's sustainable farming practices and commitment to providing fresh, locally grown produce underline his deep connection to the land and passion for cultivating a variety of delightful vegetables. Hat and Heart FarmNo Own Retail Location

Farm & Ranch in Fredericksburg - 221.99 mi

Hat and Heart Farm is a 50-year-old, 93-acre farm in Fredericksburg, Texas. The 6th generation is currently running this family-oriented place, continuing the tradition of providing the best farm-to-table services in town. Why are they the best? For years, they've been practicing organic and sustainable farming to grow a myriad of seasonal vegetables, while raising over 400 laying hens and shepherding over 100 goat meats. Oh, they have the "best eggs" in the neighborhood and their "tomatoes are delicious too," I must say. "They grow wonderful produce, all the stuff you know and some goodies you might not heard of." Plus, one of the owners, "Katherine, typically sends out an email if there is something you might not be familiar with" and some "ideas on how to use it." Who wouldn't like that? "We have received some 'new to us' vegetables that have been delicious and it's a fun way to try new vegetables" after all. Indeed, it's easy to see how passionate these folks are when it comes to farm-to-table culture! "Also, a really cool thing is they offer some wonderful items from other folks like, breads, yogurt coffee, and cheese that is all locally sourced and purely delicious." Most folks "especially love the Mother Culture Greek Yogurt" too.
Nonetheless, you can "order weekly and have enjoyed the quality and variety each week." You can also "pick up" your goodies if you prefer. Or, you can catch them at various farmers' markets. Point is, "if you haven't shopped with them yet, you're missing out!" We "highly recommend this farmer to anyone!"
