Established in 2009, Howdy! Farm is a student-run organic urban farm located within Texas A&M University's West Campus. This passionate group of Aggie students created the farm to champion sustainable agriculture, facilitate experiential learning, and drive interdisciplinary research while fostering a deeper connection between the community and its food source. Today, Howdy! Farm yields a rich variety of crops and vegetables, which are distributed throughout the campus dining services and made available at local farmers markets in Houston and Bryan. Their dedication to sustainable farming practices and community outreach has made Howdy! Farm an essential part of the A&M campus and the Bryan-College Station Brazos Valley community.

Shines Farm Stand boasts the finest locally sourced produce that keeps restaurateurs coming back for more. Over two decades ago, Charlie Blaylock and his wife made their home on a property with a barren 1.3-acre backyard that was initially dry and unforgiving, seemingly incapable of sustaining life. However, through Charlie's unwavering dedication and hard work, the once-sterile soil was transformed into a fertile haven. Chef McCook of Ellerbe Fine Foods is an avid admirer of the farm. "Charlie's passion shines through in his produce. I always have confidence in the exceptional quality of his offerings." Today, Shines Farm Stand features an expansive 8,400 square-foot garden brimming with a variety of nutritious plants. "Charlie cultivates the area's finest vegetables! Picha Farm may be small, but it's big on winter plant cultivation. Driven by passion, most of our harvests are shared. Harvesting runs from mid-May to July, sometimes even into August. During this time, we offer a variety of veggies: squash, onions, green beans, okra, peas, cucumbers, sweet corn, potatoes, and tomatoes. Don't miss our delicious cantaloupes and sweet watermelons.
