Times Ten Cellars is a stylish winery and wine bar offering tastings of local vintages paired with global small plates.  Try the wines and pair it with "the cheese board with meat" or the "amazing" "salted dark chocolate" truffles. They have a "live jazz" on "some nights". "If you like wine, this is a must-stop" because they have a "nice selection of wines" like the "Shiraz" and the "Cab Franc". You can find them situated in a 1945 Post Office building in the Lakewood neighborhood of East Dallas. "Great staff. They have "hands down the BEST southern beer" you will ever have. Also, "keep in mind most Southern craft beer has nothing on other areas of the country, but Westlake is legit". "Drink what you like" is the motto of the Checkered Past Winery. They are located in the historic South Side on Lamar Building, "across the street from the Dallas police station". Aside from the "live music", they also have "a good beer selection if wine isn't your thing". They make their own quality wines, over 20 locally-brewed craft beers, and some of the best wines from Texas and around the world. They have a "fabulous wine selection and their flatbreads and cheese boards are amazing". They have a small kitchen but "they put out better quality food than 85% of the bars/restaurants in the metroplex". The Manhattan Project Beer Company’s name is a nod to the scientific way the brewery’s founders create their beers. Of course, the brewery’s name also makes for cool beer names. Consider Particles Collide (a Hazy IPA), Atomic Alliance (a piña colada IPA), and their infamous Bikini Atoll (a Gose). The most fascinating thing about The Manhattan Project Beer Company besides their delicious beers, however, is how the founders upended everyone’s business plan. The founders essentially proved that one didn’t need a taproom or own a brewery to succeed in the brewery business. Their story started with a brew created for a wedding, which led to a win at a homebrewing competition, and finally culminated in their “renting brewing space like a room on Airbnb”. Since those early days in 2016, founders Misty Sanford, Karl Sanford, and Jeremy Brodt have enjoyed a cult-like following. They’re expecting to open their taproom in late 2019.
