4.0 Cellars winery is a product of three Texas winemakers – Pat Brennan of Brennan Vineyards, Gene Estes of Lost Oak Winery, and Kim McPherson of McPherson Cellars, who collaborated in 2009 and eventually opened its doors on April 2012. Experience their wine and cheese party pairing that shows "individuality" with "a nice job of balancing" showcasing "highlights from the three wineries". They also "have outdoor activities such as Cornhole and Jenga" and a "nice outdoor space to listen to music" where you can "enjoy your wine, cheese, and chocolate". They managed to have "enough wine servers to offer tastings" especially when their outdoor already "gets pretty busy".

Ab Astris Winery

Ab Astris Winery is a family-owned vineyard and winery established in 2018 and "set off of 290 a mile or two in Stonewall". They have a single windmill overlooking the vines that are planted around the back of their winery. Their "winery is on land from Lyndon B Johnson's original estate". Their "wines are all very good, very smooth" especially the 2015 Tempranillo and 2015 Montepulciano as well as their Roussanne. "Picnic tables under lovely trees" are also available "where you can look out over a pasture full of wildflowers, listen to the birds sing, and shoot the breeze while sipping a quality glass of wine". Alexander Vineyards

Alexander Vineyards is a boutique winery that is "an absolute hidden gem that is located right outside of Fredericksburg". When you visit, you will be "skeptical" because of "our tasting room may suck but our wine is great" sign. Two dogs named "Gizmo and Pinot" will also welcome you and "the view outside is gorgeous". They offer the "best selection of new world and old world varietals" including "Bordeaux, Champagne, Rieslings, and Spanish Tempranillos" which you can taste and purchase. "Do not be deceived by the look from the outside" if you want to experience the finest undiscovered wines. You will learn to "love the small and intimate feel of this winery".

Andreucci Wine Room

The art of winemaking has been passed down for two and a quarter centuries. Some of the wine labels in the Andreucci Wine Room even had a reproduction of the receipt issued by the French Army when they purchased from the Andreucci family for Napoleon's troops. Baron's Creek Vineyards is "a little upscale, but still inviting" and they have carefully curated wines from all over the US and Spain. Enjoy some of their wines including the "best Chardonnay" as well as the "Sauvignon Blanc and Rose" which are "phenomenal as well". Pair it "with a charcuterie and cheese board". The Bending Branch Winery is "only 40 miles from San Antonio". They have won several awards including Top Texas Wine Award and Best Texas Winery FOUR years in a row. "What is unique about this winery is that they have Tannat wine, which is highly unusual" and is also "better than the Tannat from Uruguay, which is much stronger". You can also try their Rosé, Mourvèdre, and the Pic Poul or the Charbono, Sagrantino, and Souzão. Aside from being "pet-friendly", their "wine stewards" are also "friendly, polite and knowledgeable". Blue Lotus Winery

Blue Lotus Winery has two locations. The first is "just 6 miles north of Seguin" and the other is located in Hye with a "nice hill country view". You can find numerous entertainment including board games, puzzles, life-sized chess set, and a giant Jenga set. The owners are "very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines, mead, and beer". They have "a great lineup" of "some funky wines" including Black Lotus, Golden Lotus, Tempranillo, and Viognier wines. Cicada Cellars is a "little gem" that "can easily be looked over but should not be missed". Established in 2018, they have a "unique and edgy tasting room, run by some pretty amazing individuals". They offer distinctly crafted, small-batch wines in a casual atmosphere. They have award-winning wines too. The "Dog Days Rosé was not too sweet but not too dry" which is a "perfect porch drinking wine". Their Tempranillo is a "fabulous, easy-drinking wine with a delightful nose and a light peppery finish". "Simply delicious reds" like the Ruby Eyed Red can become your "favorite" too. Visit them at the corner of 290 and St. Francis (by the big blue "Chevron" sign) in downtown Stonewall, Texas.

The owner of the Cross Mountain Vineyards lived in Italy and has extensive knowledge of Italian wines. They have an "amazing selection of Italian wines" that are "very full-bodied". Their tasting room is located in downtown Fredericksburg. "If you're a fan of Italian wines" or you "have never tried them then you need to stop here for a wine tasting". Although, "they are in the process of producing their own wines". The wait staff is also "friendly and very knowledgeable". When you are in the Hill Country town of Fredericksburg, stop by for a tasting and you may even end up buying "a bottle of Barolo and a Cab Sauv/Franc blend".

Dry Comal Creek Vineyards

The Dry Comal Creek Vineyards is "super close to Canyon Lake and New Braunfels" and "this gem has lots of outdoor space and some delicious wine offering". They have "furniture of wine barrels" that is "really nice".  For the tasting, you will need to call them for reservations. All of their wine is 100% Texan,  Cote du Comal, Roussanne (the best in the state), Sangiovese, Tempranillo to name a few.

Fat Ass Winery and Ranch is A "brave name choice!!" A unique winery on Highway 290 between Stonewall and Fredericksburg. "It's got a lot of space and had a live band playing outside with a big dance area". "Really nice bar area with a real rustic feel, lots of metal, and old truck decor""This is a nice stop if you like sweeter and fruity wines" including an "apple, peach, and strawberry selections". "The tasting is a set menu but the menu is quite large". You will "enjoy the atmosphere", plus the "live music and frozen wine cocktails" such as the "frozen sangria" which is "pretty good".

A "very cool place located close to San Antonio". "Situated amongst the old buildings in Old Town Helotes" and "tucked amongst the live oaks". "The majority of the wines" they make "are sweet, and a few dry wines". The sources of grapes are "California to Texas and Italy for some of their specialty wines".
