Texas is one of the states in the US that is known for growing grapes. This explains why there are many food products made and sold in Texas that are made of grapes. Jams, jellies, preserves, and of course, wine! Juniper Cove Winery is a local business - one of the many - that make wines using Texas grapes. Valley Mills Vineyards is a full-production family-run winery just west of Waco, TX. Their wines, including benchmark Texas Tempranillo, are made from 100% Texas-grown grapes. These grapes primarily come from vineyards in Bosque county, including the 12 acres that they farm. Their belief is that great wines are grown, not made, informs intensive farming practices and minimal-intervention winemaking methods. The tasting room at their Estate Winery is open daily from 12-6 PM, and guests can expect high-level service and Texas hospitality.

The owners of Big Rock Winery at 106 Private Road 1381, Morgan, Texas are really "so welcoming" especially to those who are wine tasting beginners. "Fun to talk with" and "very generous with pours" although "far out and off the beaten path but there are great signs to get to where you're going". Once you get there, you will see a "quaint and relaxing" place with "outgoing customer service". They have been producing and serving wines for more than 10 years. Visit them and experience one of their  "very nice tasting wines" such as the Vida Ria Roja Sangria and "some interesting blends" such as the Cabby Gone Wild and you will have a "great experience"

Formerly known as Tehuacana Creek Winery since 2014. The name change to Waco Winery and Vineyards made sense because the business would show up as “Waco winery” on Internet searches. It's a "great place to hang out and relax" with "good music and great wine". There is also a “buy the vine, buy the wine” concept they offer. In this program, a customer will purchase grapevines that Waco Winery will plant, care for and ultimately produce wine specifically for the customer with grapes grown from those vines. “It’s like a super wine club,” according to the owner. They have "live music on Fridays and Saturdays" too.

If you just "stopped in on an unplanned visit to Red Caboose Winery", you will have an "awesome surprise". This place is like an "oasis in the middle of nowhere". This winery is a "very quiet place where you can relax with friends and sample some delicious reds and whites". It is a "quaint little hidden treasure in the middle of the hill country". They "grow their own grapes" and "they ferment in French barrels, two to three times more expensive than Kentucky oak". Check out their website for any updates. They have two locations as posted on their website. Their Meridian location is temporarily close so they recommend visiting the Clifton tasting room and deli. "Nice operation" with "a great view". You must "give them a try". You will be "greeted by Buddy the dog, very sweet dog" too.
