Craft Brewery in Mansfield - 14.09 mi

By The Horns Brewing opened in late January 2019, at The Backyard in Downtown Mansfield. The brewery is part of restaurateur Jason Boso’s latest project, and has brewmaster Justin Meyers at the helm. Ably assisted by Charli the “assistant brewmaster”, Justin currently has about seven signature brews. By The Horns shares common space with Tacos and Avocados, another of Jason’s restaurants. Together, the two businesses generate rave reviews from guests such as this: “Great tacos and craft beer!” Add to the lot Twisted Root (a burger place) and Hypnotic Emporium (everything ice cream), and you’ve got HEAVEN. The brewery and Tacos and Avocados share a common indoor seating space, but all four establishments share a large outdoor area. They are open daily and it’s family-friendly and very pet-friendly area. When you meet Charli, you’ll know why this particular establishment loves your pooches. There's live music on Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm to 10pm.

Craft Brewery in Farmers Branch - 15.06 mi

3 Nations Brewing Co. Founder and brewmaster Gavin Secchi and his four partners combine ancient European brewing traditions with American innovation and ingenuity to come up with its line of craft beers. Their brewing process is “a fresh take on old world style” and launched mainstay beers American Wit and GPA, a German pale ale. Founded in 2015, they’ve since expanded the lineup to include, among others, Texas Gold, Mango Smash IPA, Bull’s Brown Ale, and Haze Wizard IPA. The brewery is celebrating new milestones with a win as Best Brewery in Dallas by the Dallas Observer, and the brewery's move in October 2019 to the Historic Downtown Carrollton (just 1.5 miles from their current location at Farmers Branch). The new facility includes a spacious taproom, patio, and a private events room.  The taproom will also double up as a test market serving new brews.

Opened in 2016 by owner/founder John Pritchett, the brewery has announced ongoing expansion plans for the brewery. Unlike other brewery owners and founders, John’s background is in beer distribution. White Rock Alehouse & Brewery

Craft Brewery in Dallas - 17.37 mi

White Rock Alehouse & Brewery founders Dave Kirk and Greg Nixon are confident they have found the perfect location for their brewpub. This means one can have a beer or two after a walk, run, or bike around the White Rock Lake. It’s perfect for those seeking a place to rest and relax. The brewpub also offers up 36 beers on tap. Some beers also come from the brewery’s own lineup of craft beers. This lineup also includes their 2019 US Open Beer Championships silver medal winner IPO IPA. Bitter Sisters Brewing Company

Craft Brewery in Addison - 17.95 mi

Bitter Sisters Brewing Company is the only production brewery in Addison. An independent, family-owned craft brewery, it takes its name from the three "type-A McHugh sisters". Baby brother and wife are part of the business, too, as are the sisters’ husbands. Together, they own Bitter Sisters, and each doing his or her part so the company can produce award-winning craft beers. This makes the brewery and the taproom a real family affair, with beers that have memorable and distinctly female names like Hissy Fit, Cat Fight, Winter Bush, Girls Quad, Bitch Slap, Knock Out, and Busy Body. The brewery started coming together when Brewmaster Matt Ehinger married one of the sisters, Courtney, and quickly realized that beer – his home-brewed beer – made everyone less “bitter”. Eventually, the idea of putting up a brewery was hatched. And as they say, “the family that brews together... has the most fun”!

HopFusion Ale Works

Craft Brewery in Fort Worth - 18.02 mi

Owned by Macy Moore and Matt Hill, HopFusion Ale Works celebrates the craft beer experience. Both owners are passionate about innovation and art, and they’ve fused these concepts into each craft beer they’ve created. “Craft beer is about the experience”, they both say. With many passions between them, they came up with the idea of brewing beers for a living in December 2014. After many months of "blood, sweat, and tears", they began distributing their beer creations in the summer of 2016, and opened the taproom in November. In their beer brewing journey, they’ve discovered that “craft beer is… about community and friends”. To this end, they’ve built a strong following for their beers. Their honey vanilla blonde ale “Feisty Blonde” won medals at the 2017 and 2018 U.S. Open Beer Championship, among other award-winning beers.

The Rahr family started making beer in America in 1847 after William and Natalie Rahr immigrated from Rhineland, Germany to Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The steadily increasing population of European settlers created a demand for beer of better quality than “the typical kitchen brew” and William knew he was the person to fill the void. Today, Rahr Malting Co. produces and supplies malt and industry-related brewing supplies to roughly “90% of the breweries in the United States.” Inside Rahr and Sons Brewing, you can expect to line up for a pint of beer. After that, feel free to visit the gift shop or find a spot to sit at one of the picnic tables. Rahr and Sons Brewing Co is included in Kim’s 7 Great Take Out Deals in Fort Worth During Covid-19. Even without a pandemic, they’re still worth checking out!

Fort Brewery & Pizza

Craft Brewery in Fort Worth - 18.63 mi

According to the company’s website, they hope the brewery becomes “an inviting place for the whole community”. With a beer named after a family ancestor and said to be the "first baby born in Fort Worth", the company takes their mission to heart.
