Despite an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign, the couple went ahead with their dreams. Karbach Brewing Co

Great Heights Brewing Company

Brash Brewing Company

Craft Brewery in Houston - 12.79 mi

Brash Brewing Company is from the same man who brought Houston the famed Petrol Station, Ben Fullelove. The taproom opened to the public in late 2015, but the brewery was actually founded in 2012. Legal hurdles kept Ben from opening the brewery in Texas, and the brewery operated out of Massachusetts at its start. When Texas laws changed in 2013, Brash Brewing moved its operation back to Texas, and Brashland (Brash’s taproom) soon opened. Enthusiasts describe Brash Brewing as an “edgy brewery”. Their in-your-face attitude notwithstanding, the brewery scores many fans with its stouts and IPAs. City Acre Brewing Co.

Just 10 minutes north of downtown Houston, the City Acre Brewing finally opened in 2016 and Houston fell in love. The four-year delay did the owners a favor.
