Hop and Sting Brewing Company is the former Grapevine Craft Brewery and founded by its former brewers Brian Burton and Jon Powell. Brutal Beerworks owners Eric Johnson, Sallie McIntyre, and Jason Perez named their craft brewery after the “brutal” journey towards opening their dream business. Eric had been a passionate homebrewer and Jason is a professional brewer at another brewery. The dream took a “brutal” route including application delays due to the government shutdown. Fundraising and many other problems came their way.
